The Storyteller Session is a virtual home for all Storytellers in the film industry, with a focus on marginalized voices. The pillars of our group are community and growth, both in our craft and in our career. And our goal is to have as many stories told through as many voices as possible.
Our number one goal is to alleviate isolation in the film industry.
The core of our calendar are our table read sessions, taking place Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8est/5pst via Zoom. Community writers have a chance to submit their work and actors get to play in worlds they may otherwise be unable to. The last Tuesday every month is The Storyteller Q&A where we speak to industry guest about their career's journey.
Through our core sessions and programs built around writers and actors, we look to build community and connect storytellers to form ties that hopefully can last your entire career. Here you'll find beginning and working filmmakers from all over the world. So let's connect!
Now, who wants to tell their story?
The film industry is big, with working actors and writers in the tens of thousands and hundreds of thousands more trying to find their way among them. Even still, the industry can feel more isolating than any other career field.
The Storyteller Session looks to alleviate that isolation through community and resources for personal growth both in your craft and your career.
If you are looking for ways to learn from members of our industry, to find peers to connect and collaborate with, and to have your voice be heard then The Storyteller Session is a home for you.
